Alternative Routes to Licensure Program Spring 2019- SECONDARY
Department - Employee Onboarding and Development
Alternative Licensure Route
If the classroom is your calling, the Clark County School District (CCSD) Alternative Routes to Licensure (ARL) programs offer unique opportunities for individuals seeking a rewarding career teaching students in high-need areas. CCSD welcomes strong, diverse candidates with rich life experiences, conferred Bachelor degrees in areas other than education, and a passion for helping all students succeed.
Candidates accepted into an ARL program participate in a semester of rigorous professional development and graduate-level pedagogy coursework. Upon successful completion, participants become eligible to apply for full-time employment as contracted CCSD teachers. Once employed, ARL teachers must satisfy remaining Nevada Department of Education requirements for full teacher licensure within three years.
ALL applicants must submit an online Interest Form and attend a mandatory ARL Information Session prior to submitting an application. Visit http://teachvegas.ccsd.net/arl/ for further details.
